BREXIT MEANS WE RUN OUR OWN COUNTRY AGAIN
Summary:
Following a UK Government consultation on how to improve and streamline the speed at which new medical treatments can be tested and approved for use within the UK a number of changes were made to vastly improve the speed at which new treatments can be accepted, without increasing the risk to patient care.
The oversight of these areas, when an EU member, is within the purview and responsibility of the European Medicines Authority (EMA). It is only through leaving the EU, that the UK has been able to make these improvements.
